From 30 June – 1 July, the Sheraton Arabellapark Hotel in Munich, Germany was the site for the first-ever EMV User Meeting. Nearly 140 of the EMV industry's most influential players—from issuers, retailers, vendors, associations, and more—converged to discuss our industry's most pressing issues.
The theme of the event was "Help Shape the Future of Global Payments," and that's precisely what attendees did. Discussions ranged from contactless, to mobile payments, and the EPC's take on the future of the industry. EMVCo Board of Managers held roundtable discussions to discuss security, mobile payment, EMVCo Infrastructure, and contactless. Participants had some exceptional ideas—ideas that are already being discussed within EMVCo.
