Test Platform Provider Qualification and Accreditation Process

Step 1 TPP (Test Platform Provider)

Downloads and signs registration form.
Submits the registration form to EMVCo.

Step 2 EMVCo

Reviews application.
Endorses or declines application request.

Step 3 TPP

Sends agreement/contract to EMVCo.

Step 4 EMVCo

Signs agreement/contract & provides registration number.

Step 5 TPP

Performs the qualification of the 3DS Test Platform.

Step 6 EMVCo

Evaluates the Qualification report.
Delivers a Letter of qualification for the 3DS Test Platform.

Step 7 TPP

Selects EMVCo qualified auditor to perform evaluation of the TPP services

Step 8 EMVCo

Evaluates Audit report for approved or declined accreditation.
Publishes TPP on EMVCo website.

Process Summary

This process covers the EMV 3DS Test Platform qualification and the TPP accreditation process for 3DS functional evaluations. Interested parties will need to comply with the EMV 3DS Test Platform Requirements and the EMV Test Platform Provider Accreditation and Test Platform Qualification Process

1 of 8 Step 1 Registration Request

The TPP shall download the Registration form and duly complete the Form.

The TPP shall email the registration form to EMVCo at 3ds_approval@emvco.com. The TPP shall also supply EMVCo with the TPP overview of its abilities to meet EMV qualification and accreditation requirements as defined in the TPP Accreditation and TP Qualification Process document.

2 of 8 Step 2 Registration Application Review

EMVCo reviews the TPP’s registration request and either endorses or declines the request.

Upon endorsement of the registration request, EMVCo sends agreement/contract for signature by the TPP.

3 of 8 Step 3 TPP Signature of the Agreement

The TPP shall send the signed agreement/contract to EMVCo. The following documents are provided to TPP when they contact the 3DS Approval Secretariat:

EMVCo Test Document License Agreement (for 3DS Test Platform Provider)

4 of 8 Step 4 Completion of the Registration

EMVCo signs the agreement/contract and provides the TPP with a registration letter and a registration number.

Upon signature of the agreement/contract, the qualification of the 3DS Test Platform may start.

5 of 8 Step 5 3DS Test Platform Qualification

The TPP Submits a 3DS Test Platform Qualification Declaration to EMVCo

The TPP Performs the qualification of the 3DS Test Platform with EMVCo 3DS Test Platform Qualification Manager (TPAM)

3DS Test Platform Functionalities and User Interface Verification
3DS Test Platform Design and Implementation Verification including architecture, interface to SUT, platform management, performance and service availability
Verification of the Test Plan implementation(s) using 3DS Components having a valid LoA

The TPAM sends a qualification report to EMVCo

6 of 8 Step 6 3DS Test Platform Letter of Qualification

EMVCo evaluates the qualification report

Upon approval of the qualification report, EMVCo will grant a Letter of Qualification (LoQ) with a qualification number for the 3DS Test Platform

7 of 8 Step 7 3DS Test Platform Provider Audit

The TPP selects an EMVCo accredited Auditor to perform the TPP audit.

The Auditor will submit the audit report to EMVCo for endorsement. Note that this report covers

ISO17025 requirements,
Physical and Logical security,
TPP Independency,
Organization,
Operational processes and work instructions (support, incident management, change management, disaster recovery…),
Documentation and software configuration management
Demonstration of the 3DS Test Platform in operation

Obtain the list of Auditors

8 of 8 Step 8 Test Platform Provider Accreditation

EMVCo evaluates the audit report and, upon endorsement of the Audit report, EMVCo will grant a Letter of Accreditation (LoA) with an accreditation number.
At this stage, the TPP is listed on EMVCo Website.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites outside of this defined process.
